The Atlas Blue Cedar Glauca Pendula, Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca Pendula', is an evergreen conifer that adorns the garden with soft, silvery blue needles around twisted branches that arch toward the ground; grows 10-15 feet in height.

This conifer can be trained to conform to a desired silhouette, much like a large bonsai. It has a wonderful weeping form when the branches are left to drape to the ground. With this stunning feature of long cascading branches, it can spread quite some distance.

Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar, in its old age, gets broader and develops a flat-topped form. It requires full sun, but can tolerate some shade if needed, and adapts to most soils. It prefers well drained, acidic loam in an area away from strong winds.

To keep the tree from growing too near the ground, stake and train while young to the form preferred. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.

Truly a unique plant, Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar has branches that feature a flowing effect, sometimes described as a cascading waterfall. Having the same evergreen, bluish needles as the common deodar cedar, this wonderful weeping conifer also has twisting, long branches that fall down around the trunk.

Crowded with bright blue needles, Blue Atlas Weeping Cedar is a perfect candidate as a specimen plant. This unique cedar plant deserves a special place so it will catch the eye and hold the interest of any visitor to your garden! Hurry, and order now!
